Tulsa Worldwide Airport is working to develop into the primary dementia-friendly airport within the nation.

The airport is working with Dementia Pleasant Tulsa, a program launched by Mayor G.T. Bynum in 2017.

Airport and airline workers will discover ways to work together with passengers with dementia. Airport law enforcement officials and first responders will get coaching as nicely.

“This program goes to assist take away a few of these boundaries and forestall air journey at our airport from being as worrying as it may be,” Bryan Criminal with Tulsa Worldwide stated.

Dementia Pleasant Tulsa is free to companies and organizations. The airport plans to have all workers educated within the subsequent few months.
