The Chatham-Kent COVID-19 vaccination clinic shall be closed Saturday to Monday as a result of the vaccine freezers are empty.

The clinic on the John D. Bradley Conference Centre in Chatham will reopen Tuesday if the subsequent cargo has arrived.

As of Friday morning, 12,567 doses had been administered in Chatham-Kent.

Exemptions to the 16-week interval are made for residents of long-term care houses, retirement houses, First Nations elder care lodges and assisted residing services for seniors and for some First Nations communities, together with folks at Delaware Nation at Moraviantown.

Workers and important caregivers at congregate care settings for seniors, all well being care staff, grownup recipients of persistent dwelling care and individuals who shall be at the least 75 years outdated in 2021 are at present eligible to be vaccinated on the clinic. So are First Nations, Inuit, Métis and concrete Indigenous people who find themselves at the least 16 years outdated and their quick family members.

Vaccinations on the clinic are by appointment solely. To make an appointment, name 519-351-1010 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and depart a message. Calls shall be returned day by day from 8:30 a.m. to eight:30 p.m.
