CAPE CORAL, Fla. – To elevate resident’s spirits throughout the pandemic, Palmview in Cape Coral launched a brand new butterfly backyard on the terrace of their reminiscence help ground.

The assisted residing facility determined to spend money on monarch butterflies and milkweed again in December, and inside months, the backyard shortly flourished to life.

With the assistance of Palmview’s reminiscence help supervisor, senior residents now take care of the butterflies and benefit from the therapeutic expertise day by day.

When workers finds a butterfly cocoon, they switch it to a terrarium and place it in a hallway or resident’s room.

As soon as the butterfly hatches from its chrysalis, that resident will get to launch it again to the terrace backyard.
