The River Highway Chapter of Nationwide Charity League honored 19 Baton Rouge-area highschool seniors for his or her neighborhood volunteer work on March 6.
These younger girls have served greater than 2,200 hours at numerous native charitable organizations over the previous six years. The Nationwide Charity League, established in 1947 and included in 1958, has greater than 283 chapters in 30 states, with greater than 200,000 members and alumnae nationwide. Its mission is to foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic group dedicated to neighborhood service, management growth and cultural experiences.
The River Highway Chapter, developed in 1999, is celebrating 22 years within the Baton Rouge neighborhood. In the present day, the native chapter, which is NCL’s solely chapter in Louisiana, has grown to greater than 250 members.
Ladies and their daughters could also be nominated for membership within the group by one of many group’s energetic members in good standing. College students can grow to be eligible for membership within the seventh grade.
