The ACS’ Voice of Local Shops Survey revealed that round 4,500 unbiased shops have Dementia Friends working in-store.

ACS chief government, James Lowman, stated: “Local outlets function on the coronary heart of their communities and are lifelines for patrons who could also be extra remoted or weak and this has been significantly evident all through the course of the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We are happy that hundreds of our colleagues have dedicated to supporting these dwelling with and affected by dementia and would encourage as many colleagues as attainable to take the step to become a Dementia Friend to make a optimistic and long-lasting influence of their neighborhood.”

Retailers can become Dementia Friends by visiting dementiafriends.org.uk/dforganisations and coming into marketing campaign code ‘ACS25’ earlier than watching the brief movies.
