Today, greater than 5 million Americans reside with Alzheimer’s – a quantity anticipated to just about triple by 2050, together with  210,000 in New Jersey, in line with the Alzheimer’s Association. More than 16 million Americans present unpaid look after folks with Alzheimer’s or different dementias as properly. Despite the sobering statistics, I really feel an excellent deal of hope, realizing the combat towards Alzheimer’s has been a supply of unity amongst Democrats and Republicans.  Despite political variations, we will combat in the direction of the similar goal- to finish Alzheimer’s. As the 117th Congress begins its session, Congresswoman Sherrill has the alternative to assist New Jerseyans dealing with this illness.

As somebody making ready to embark on a Master’s in Social Work, this rising public well being disaster deserves my consideration each in the classroom and in the subject.

Thankfully, Congresswoman Sherrill can play an vital position in addressing this essential challenge. Since 1999, the bipartisan Congressional Task Force on Alzheimer’s Disease has been instrumental in serving to advance insurance policies to enhance analysis, care, and assist.

Please be part of me in encouraging Congresswoman Sherrill to steer in the combat to finish Alzheimer’s by becoming a member of the bipartisan Congressional Task Force on Alzheimer’s Disease.
