Grand Vista Assisted Living in Coldwater opens its second location with a grand opening celebration from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at 300 Vista Drive in Coldwater. A ribbon cutting will be held at 1 p.m. hosted by the Coldwater Area Chamber of Commerce.
The new 20-bedroom building is just down the street from its first 2013 facility at 99 Vista Drive.
Tucked in some woods that back up to the Burnside Senior Center, owner James Maxson said there are not too many locations in Coldwater to put a facility.
Maxson said “this new facility will allow Grand Vista to expand our offerings to the community. The need for assisted living facilities continues to grow, so we decided to expand and build another facility just down the street from our current location.” Open house and tours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the Chamber of Commerce Ribbon cutting.
Maxson said the new facility is 2,000 square feet larger with six deluxe studio and 16 one-bedroom apartments for singles and couples.
The former also is a 20-unit facility, but includes high care units. Its amenities include being pet-friendly, beauty/barber shop, courtyard and garden, walking paths, spa room, daily activities, entertainment, media and family room and Wi-Fi access.
Grand Vista is an all-inclusive assisted living community with an independent home living, safe and professional environment. An RN/BSN is available 24/7.
Maxson said the aging of the local population has created a need for new facilities.
