By Zoila Palma: Today, Minister of Health and Wellness, Michel Chebat thanked sister countries, Barbados and India for the AstraZeneca vaccine donations.

“ The vaccine is real and now we can directly combat COVID-19,” Chebat says.

Chebat said that the Ministry rolled out the vaccination program in phases so that everyone is vaccinated at the right time.

The Ministry is currently at phase 1 that includes Phase 1 A – healthcare workers, Phase 1 B – persons 60 years and older, and Phase 1C- persons with underlying health conditions.

Chebat encouraged the public to get vaccinated when their time comes.
