Lilli is a UK-based SaaS company that uses machine learning to revolutionise home care. The company bagged £4.5 million pre-Series A funding. The 50% oversubscribed round was organised by West Hill Capital.
Intends to scaleup care solution
The company that supports independent living will use the investment to fuel the roll out of machine learning-enabled care solutions. The funding comes eight months into Lilli CEO Gren Paull’s tenure and a slew of senior appointments including former management consultant Kelly Hudson as CSO, and CCO Nick Weston from O2.

The role of technology has a vital role to play in the future success of care delivery across the UK and globally.”

Lilli’s proprietary technology is empowering people to live independently within their own homes for longer, when in the past, an individual’s age, ability or condition would have required constant supervision or care. West Hill seeks to identify companies harbouring strong IP that are potentially globally scalable and we feel that Lilli certainly exhibits these qualities.”
Deploys machine language!
Led by CEO Gren Paull, Lilli uses machine learning to analyse a range of data sources including temperature, power usage and motion. This technology offers real-time data as well as insights to caregivers and highlights any causes for concern. Caregivers are notified via the UK phone network or Wi-Fi with updates regarding each individual it monitors. This way, health and social care providers can intervene earlier and monitor at a distance, thereby minimising the need for hospital admissions and costs as well.
Lilli is set to be capable of integration with wearable devices such as smartwatches from leading consumer technology brands. It also meets the standards required for data transfer with NHS patient record systems in the UK.
Lilli’s technology underwent trials with Brent Council and is all set to start a 100-person trial with Dorset County Council, both through Lilli’s Independent Future Group. This group is a coalition of forward-thinking local authorities and professional care associations that aim to explore the further use of technology and help address the ever-changing needs of care. Lilli is in discussions with 17 local authorities and Clinical Commissioning Groups regarding additional implementations.
