VANCOUVER (NEWS 1130) — Vancouver Police are searching for a missing senior with dementia last seen this weekend.
Meir Steiner’s family last saw the 81-year-old at their home near East 13th Avenue and Fraser Street Saturday afternoon.
Steiner has Bell’s palsy, which causes the right side of his face to droop, is known to walk long distances, and is familiar with transit. He frequently travels to Gastown, Kingsgate Mall and Main Street.

Police describe Steiner as white, 5’7” tall, and weighs 200 pounds with police saying he has a “noticeably large belly.” He has brown eyes and shaggy grey hair.
He may be wearing a red Canada baseball cap, a dark blue puffy jacket with a hood, a beige long sleeve t-shirt, dark flannel pyjama-type pants and black hiking boots.
Anyone who sees Steiner is asked to call 9-1-1 and stay with him until first responders arrive.
