Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacies in Red Deer encouraging seniors to get vaccinated now – Red Deer Advocate

Shoppers Drug Mart pharmacies in Red Deer are inviting all residents aged 65 and over to get their COVID-19 vaccine now.

Stores in the Village Mall, Clearview Market Square and Bower Place Mall all have capacity and immediate appointments available, with plans to vaccinate hundreds of Albertans on Monday and Tuesday.

“We’ve been vaccinating community members across the province for just over three weeks now and the feedback from patients has been outstanding,” said pharmacist Aamir Hussain, local Shoppers Drug Mart owner.

“Last week, the government lowered the age to any resident 65 or over. Stores in Red Deer still have capacity and availability and we are encouraging those eligible to book an appointment or visit us now.”

Pharmacists in Alberta are administering the Pfizer vaccine to patients in communities throughout the province. Eligible patients can book online at covid-19.shoppersdrugmart.ca or by contacting the store directly.
