
WILMINGTON — Esther McIntyre Trial, 95, passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at The Davis Community, Wilmington. Esther was born March 6, 1926, to Fred Lawson Fuller and Maude (Miller) Fuller, in Waukon, Iowa.
She is survived by her son, Eugene McIntyre (Suzann); daughter, Sandra Zellers (Robert); stepdaughters, Linda Carter, Patti Clawson, Robyne Wright (Tony), Helen Lamberton (Tom) and Trina Peterson (Larry); stepson, Jim Trial (Felicia); grandchildren, Kimberly Janson (Marc), Justin Zellers (Hope), Michelle Wright and Nichole McIntyre; step-grandchildren, Michael Gans (Lisa), Chris Carter (Laurie),Tamara Cavenaugh (Eric), Darron Clawson, Jason Clawson, Kevin Clawson (Nichole), Josh Unger (Sara), Rob Lamberton, Tim Lamberton, Erica Flagg (Dean), Jeffrey Trial ( Lisa), Russell Dick (Michelle), Aaron Gerard, Matthew Gerard and Vanessa Parscale (Dan); and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Loren McIntyre; second husband, Robert Trial; brothers, Raymond and Robert; sisters, Lois, Helen, Edna and Audrey; stepdaughter, Sherry Felton; and step-grandson, Dave Gans.
Esther graduated high school from Oak Park Academy in Nevada, Iowa, and attended Union College in Lincoln, Nebraska. She married Loren McIntyre Nov. 10, 1946. She taught school for many years at Aledo SDA Church School and Waukegan SDA Church School, both in Illinois. After retiring from teaching, she became a beloved private-duty caregiver for numerous families.
She retired to a farm in Piedmont, Missouri, with her second husband, Robert Trial, where they lived from 1988 to 2018. They were members of the Doniphan Missouri Seventh Day Adventist Church. She enjoyed reading, embroidering and volunteering at the Helping Hands community center in Doniphan.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Little York, Illinois. She will be buried in Cedar Creek Cemetery in Little York.
