Covid-19: Earlier in the pandemic, dementia patients were highlighted as high risk. What we know now

Dementia patients are particularly vulnerable to SARS-CoV-2, but the outcomes of such patients hospitalised with Covid-19 have not been extensively investigated. 

However, a recent study, published in the Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease, aimed to describe the hospital course of dementia patients with Covid-19, and compare their outcomes to individuals of the same age group without dementia.
